A country growing in popularity for tourists. Famous for Gangnam Style there is so much to explore and do here. Those who make the journey will be rewarded with ancient history, modern culture, architecture, beaches and some amazing food.
It is obvious to see why South Korea is fast becoming the go to place for tourists looking for something a little different.
Seoul
South Korea’s capital is the 5th most populated city in the world. It is no wonder that this city has so much going on.
It has both a mixture of ancient and modern architecture. Beautiful old palaces neighbouring skyscrapers.
Gyeongbokgung Palace is an absolute must, completed in 1395, Gyeongbokgung means “palace greatly blessed by Heaven”. A great place to learn about the history of South Korea. Changdeokgung Palace and Gardens is well worth a visit as well.
Aside from palace’s you must also visit Gangnam (made famous by the song), a very trendy district where you will find gleaming skyscrapers, designer brands and stylish nightclubs as well as some high-end dining options. Make sure you check out Gwangjang Market in Jongno-gu for some delicious local delicacies as well.
Busan
Known as the San Francisco of South Korea, Busan is the second biggest city in the country. A port city is boasts some incredible beaches. Be sure to visit Haeundae Beach. This is considered one of the best beaches in South Korea and you will barely believe a beach like this exists on the edge of a busy city. The sunsets are the stuff of legends.
