If you’re looking to immerse yourself in Renaissance art and architecture or to experience the beautiful rolling hills, magnificent countryside of Tuscany; Florence is the place for you!

Did we mention? The delicious cuisine and world-famous wine alone are worth making a trip out to this beautiful city in central Italy.

Florence is the cradle of the Renaissance and effortlessly captures all the elements that Tuscany is famous for, art, architecture and beautiful landscapes. Once home to artistic masters such as Michelangelo, Brunelleschi, Leonardo da Vinci and Galileo; walking down the streets and alleys or enjoying the grandiose piazzas is akin to being in a giant outdoor museum.

During your visit, be sure to check out the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), an iconic image of the city; the Piazza della Signoria, the political heart of Florence.

Piazza San Marco in front of the San Marco Church is a great location connecting all corners of the extended city. Head to Piazza della Santissima Annunziata, hyped as one of the most beautiful piazzas in Florence and shrouded in mystery and symmetry.

You can take a guided walk around to discover what it is behind the hidden secrets. If you love panoramic views then head to the Three Towers, you can ascend one or all three of the towers for breath-taking views over the city.

A trip to Florence would not be complete without a visit to the Uffizi Museum, a guided tour is highly recommended as not to miss any of the masterpieces.

Second on the list would be the Galleria dell’Accademia, offering to see the works of Michelangelo and the famous David and so much more. Take the time to browse the less crowded halls where you can satisfy any interest in botany, art symbols, painting techniques and music.

There are eateries aplenty in the city offering delicious, authentic Italian cuisine and wines from the region. Be sure to try a gelato in Piazza del Duomo, you won’t regret it!
